I am a sophmore student in UF aspiring to attend Dental school.
I am taking all pre-medical(dental) courses, but I have too many B+s..
For example, I have an A for Organic chemistry 1, but B+ for Orgo 2. Chem 1 A, Chem 2 B+, and so on..
My science GPA is currently 3.65, and it would either increase to 3.75 or decrease to 3.55. Do you think I should do really well on DAT to get in?
I want to go to dental school, but I have too many B+s!!! Help!!!?
WOw, those are some good grades. GPA is just one factor in you getting into dental school. Take the DAT and try to ace that and you should be okay. Have you ever considered pharmacy school?
You may want to consider becoming a pharmacist! Why?
PROS
1) Takes as little as 5 years to complete a pharmacy degree after high school
2) Flexible working hours, you can work 9-5 or do a 7 on and 7 off system
3) Starting pay can be anywhere from 75-150k depending on location and need
4) You can literally get a job anywhere in the US because of the short supply and great demand of pharmacists
5) You will have time to start a family
