Which is easier to get into, optometry school or dental school? Better career?

I'm a high school senior considering a career in the health field. I've always been interested in dentistry. I'm going to a college with a dental school, so it should have an excellent pre-dental track. However, statistically it seems like dental schools are almost as hard to get into as med schools.

they're about the same. the competitiveness in these fields is outrageous. i suggest sticking with a biology major, or perhaps chemistry, and don't party too much! good luck! :)

Reply:I would go the dental route and actually specialize in orthodontics.
