Dental school admissions?

I am planning on applying to dental school next year. My undergrad total GPA is 3.1 with a science gpa of 2.6. I recently finished two masters degrees one MS and a MPH both with a GPA of around 3.6. I have a DAT of 18. Should I apply now or retake some of my undrgrad science courses?

Look at the minimum requirements on where you want to apply. Most places do require a higher science GPA. Another thing to factor in public schools in general are more competitive than private due to cost.

My suggestion is to retake the classes during a summer session at a lower quality school.

Regarding the DAT its been awhile but they scored it much differently when I took it. 6 sections on a scale of 1-9.

I would also definitely make sure this is what you want to do. Even though I admit the money today is even better than many other branches of medicine, the expense today is very prohibitive even for a public school.

I got to the clinical rotations and hated the pedodontic rotation to the point where I left and to this day I question the ethics of the industry.
