I am going to be a sophomore in college and I go to one of the most challenging schools in Ohio. After talking to my dentist who went to school at Ohio State University School of Dentistry, I was told that they don't evaluate where you come from, so a lower GPA from a harder school doesn't look better than a low GPA coming from an easier school. Would you recommend taking harder chemistry courses that may bring my science GPA down at an easier school?? Does anyone know if dental schools really care/look at where you take your science courses or do they simply want to see the grade from them??
Also, any other recommendations that would help me get into dental school are welcome!
Thanks so much!

Dental School! HELP!?
I think your dentist might be a bit older, am I correct? I can't speak to dental school specifically, but years ago, college was a more standardized experience than it is today. It most certainly matters which school you went to and the types of classes you take. Graduate educators (medical school, dental school, veterinary school, etc.) want to know that you don't shy away from challege, that you know what it feels like to struggle, and that you can overcome it. If you come to them with a 4.0 from Sunnyside College, they're going to think that a) you don't challenge yourself, that b) you don't know what it's like to struggle, and that c) you won't know what to do when the work gets hard in dental school.
Now, considering your only options given in the question are "low" and "lower," I suggest you re-evaluate your commitment to education. Perhaps dental school isn't right for you if you're getting low grades in the sciences...
If you can get decent grades, stick it out in your harder program. Remember, the DAT is the ultimate equalizer, and if you do well on that, you're set.
