For some reason my advisor strongly recommends both Calc I and Calc II for dental schools. However, from talking to people who are in dental school and who have been recently admitted to dental schools, it seems that a single semester of Calculus is sufficient. In fact, some say that Calculus isn't even necessary.
Please advise me your recommendation, preferrably from experience. Thank you.
P.S. I have already taken college Calculus I and plan on taking Statistics to fulfill an year's requirement of math.
Both Calculus I and II for dental school?
It depends on the school. Some want one semester of calculus, some 2. Your adviser is simply going for the worst case to give you the greatest flexibility. But one will probably be enough.
Thanks
Bill
