Graduated college five years ago, thinking of going to dental school, advice?

I have a BS in Anthropology, with minors in Biology and Sociology. I read a true crime book recently about a crazy stalker dude who killed his girlfriend in 2001. That's neither here nor there, but the girl had a 2.5 or so GPA and was in dental school. I was surprised, because I figured you'd have to have better grades than that. I have a 2.8 GPA (too much partying in my younger days), and wondered if I could go to dental school. Is there a standardized test like the MCAT? Because I'm an awesome test taker, and that would work in my favor. Please let me know anything you can, if you are in dental school, or a dentist, or a close friend or family member is. Thanks.

yeah there is the DSAT or DCAT i think...and it's hard to get in but not as hard as med school. my best friend is a dentist. i was thinking about doing the same thing but changed my mind.
