Questions about finishing dental school?
The academic material covered in dental school is not super-difficult. As long as you put in the time to read and review the material, you should do OK. The graduation rate for dental schools across the USA is in the high 90-percent range. That tells you a lot about the difficulty of the academic material.

The problem some people encounter is the hand skills. Some people just have no business handling a high-speed handpiece to drill a tooth. That's the biggest reason why some people drop out.

If you are good with your hands, willing to put in the time to do the studying, and are genuinely interested in the profession, you will do fine.
Reply:Make sure that this is something that you absolutely LOVE. I went to school to be a dental assistant ( i know you are talking about becoming a dentist) and I can't stand it. I like working in the mouth...it was just a lot of things I didn't like. Anyway dentists sure do make a TON of money. Definately something to think about...but if you got accepted that means that you can graduate. You have to be pretty smart to even get accepted.
Reply:Great career. Want to find out where it can take you?
