I am selecting my course-load for my first year in a biochemistry 4 years honours program, but I want to know the course prerequisites for a DMD program at a dental school (with specific course numbers and names). I may be applying for a dental school at the University of Toronto or McGuill University in the future, so the course prerequisites have to apply to a Canadian University.
I am going to Ottawa U or Carelton U in Ottawa next year, and I want to choose the right courses.
Course prerequisites for dental school canada?
You're going to need a good number of courses in biology inluding anatomy, immunology and endocrinology, I would consider developmental biology as well, chemistry courses from introductory through organic chemistry and I'd consider some geometry or logic/philosophy courses where you could work on visualization of images. Dentists work focuses on extremely small spaces and be able to visualize in the abstract. While did not attend dental school, I took the dental college entrance exam for U.S. schools and a good portion of the exam focused on visual logic.
