I am a prospective dental student. My gpa really isn't that high at a 3.0 and that's why my question is, are there any type of alternative education programs for prospective dental students? I know most med. students as well as some pharmacy students that I have talked too have heard of some kind of alternative education program that allows them to take classes for a year and depending on how well they did, they were accepted into the program. This is to say they got rejected from whatever school they were trying to get into. Any ideas?

This school has so many programs to help prepare you for the MCAT, PCAT, and DMAT. Check it out.
Reply:Yes, this is called the post-bacc program. Usually it is done in 2 years. Most schools have this type of program, however you can basically do it anywhere. A 3.0 is okay for pharmacy school. If you can raise it to a 3.3-3.5 with some solid work expereicne and pharmacy experiences, you should be okay.
