Grant for dental school??

Does anyone know of any grants/scholarships available for dental school?? I am a single mother, and the closest dental school is UAB, so I would still have to relocate. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ( I already have 2yrs of prerequisites)

Grant for dental school??
Hi,

There are Federal-funded scholarship programs that will pay your dental school tuition, but you must commit to practicing in an underserved area of the government's choosing. Agencies such as the U.S. Public Health Service and the Indian Health Service have such scholarships.

The Armed Forces also have Health Professions Scholarships that pays for dental school tuition, and requires you to join one of the services (Army, Navy or Air Force) as a commissioned officer, undergo military training during the summers, and serve for a number of years after graduating from dental school.

Good luck!
Reply:There are public service type grants where you would have to work a few years in an underserved area.

Also, the military is another option. I personally took advantage of low interest loans. But when I went to dental school the cost was so much lower.
