Why did you become a dentist and what was dental school like?

I also want to become a film director. Is it possible to go to dental school and do a film internship

Why did you become a dentist and what was dental school like?
My brother-in-law is a dentist and I can tell you from watching him struggle through dental school and then watching his struggle to keep his business afloat, that not all people are made for it. You need to get your business degree first before going entering dental school. When operating your own business, it's way more complicated than just performing dental procedures.

And of all professionals, dentists have the highest suicide rate. No joke. It's not fun. No one wants to come see you. You have to be on your best behavior, in the best of moods, and jovial at all times in order to put your patients at ease. All of this while being bitten and being forced to smell bad breath. If you choose to go forward with it, I totally support you, but you may wish to interview a few dentists first in order to learn what the benefits and pitfalls are.
