I am currently a senior in high school, and I am intrested in going to dental school. I wanted to know what to do now to gurantee a spot for me in UCLA or USC dental school. Also what is the best subject for me to major in?
Do you need to take a lot of high level math classes for dental school?
There is a lot to consider to be honest. You will have to take Calculus for dental school but some of the upper division chemistry classes require calc 3 such as physical chemistry. If you want to send me an instant message my AIM is volumebikes089, I can answer any more questinons you might have about dental school
Reply:yes u do need all the math classes. dental school prerequisites are bio 8 credit hrs. organic chem 8 credit hrs. inorganic chem 8 credit hrs. and most dental schools do require physics 8 credit hrs. for all those classes to be taken math ranging from algebra to trig to calculus are prerequisites... so a lot of math has to be taken. even though most dental school do not require a bachelors, it is preferred. i hope that answers your question. good luck
