I'm looking forward to join an advancement placement program for internationally trained dentists to get a Canadian DDS, I've searched the web and found 6 dental schools offering this program. can anybody living in Canada arrange these universities according to their reputation and educational quality?
- University of Alberta
- University of British Columbia
- Dalhousie university
- University of Manitoba
- University of Toronto
- University of Western Ontario
And I will also appreciate any info about living in these cities where those universities are located. Thanks in advance.
Best Canadian dental school ?
Actually Saskatchewan also has a programme. I'd basically say Toronto is number one and the rest pretty much on par with each other. If you like a big cosmopolitan city then Toronto of UBC (Vancouver) is where you want to go, though both are very expensive. If you want to avoid Canadian winter than again it is Vancouver. Dalhouse in Halifax is an older city by Canadian standards and has the interest of being a port city. Edmonton (U of A) and Winnipeg (Manitoba) are moderate sized prairie cities, very cold in the Winter. Both are provincial capitals so have a bit more in the way of cultural attractions than they might otherwise. Regina (U of Sask) is a somewhat smaller prairie city and not a capital and would be the least "big city" of them all. London (UWO) of all these is most a "university town", that is to say, the university is a very important part of it. It is an attractive place to live and is only a couple of hours away from Toronto.
Good luck.
Reply:Thanks for your detailed answer. This helped me organize my mind. Nearly every Canadian I talked to told me to hit university of Toronto, I think that's were I'm going. Report It
Reply:I live in Toronto. The U of T ROCKS! Great atmosphere and very accreditted.
