Im going to start junior college this summer and start a program to get myself into Berkeley. I just turned 18 and am semester ahead of my high school class, i will be taking a couple of classes this summer to start with, a PE, Trigonometry and an Art. Any suggestions on what to take in the fall, because thats when i really want to start taking more classes(4 to 5) so that i can transfer to UCB and help me with dental in the future. If anybody is from the Bay Area, CA im going to Diablo Valley College. said to have had the most transfer students get into Berkeley. Hope to get an answer soon, thank you.
I want to become a dentist. What would be a good major for me to take in college to prepare for dental school?
Any major will do, as long as you fulfill the pre-dental course requirements. I had classmates in dental school who ran the gamut of majors: women's studies, architecture, business, English, botany, etc.
Best contact the professional advisement office at your college and find out what courses you need to take to fulfill the pre-dental requirements, and ask them to open a file for you to collect the recommendation letters from your instructors (you will need them to apply to dental school), and ask them about when to take your DAT exam.
Good luck!
