Sorry u are in for rude expensive lessons.

if u entered as out of state , u will be out of state untill u grad. then after one year in most states , u qualifiy for in state tuition.

check the states laws and college rules.

residency while in college "out of state" does not start in college.
Reply:Residency is judged on how long you live there. If it's been over a year in the same state you're considered a resident.
Reply:You have to live in a state for one year without attending ANY educational training in order to attain residency status (as far as tuition issues matter). However, if you purchase property, you do become a legal resident. Renting, no--purchase, yes.
