I got my bachelors' in biology almost 3 years ago. My dream has always been to attend dental school and become an orthodontist. When I graduated, my fear of failure led me to deter my dream and so I started working. Before I knew it, 3 years had passed and here I am. I didn't do so well in college and I want to take some classes or some kind of program that may help boost my chances of being accepted. Is there any advice you can give to someone who is just not ready to give up on her dream? I asked this question once before and I got no answers. I hear Dr. Sam has all the answers in dentistry please help!
DR. SAM PLZ HELP!!! Are there any summer programs for someone looking to go to dental school?
No, no summer programs that I am aware of. Dentistry is something you have to be ready to commit to when it comes to the schooling. It is 5 days a week all day, once you get into the program. You still may need some pre-reqs before you are a candidate for dental school as well as a pre-dental school test. Ortho means some extra time too.
