Is that true that If you have dental hygiene degree you stand a goos chance to get into Dental school ?

What if i had bad grades and low DAT score but if i do dental hygiene and get BS again does that make me a good candidate for dental school ?

No. In the same way that a person qualified as a Medical Lab Tech would have no automatic advantage for medical school.

It would qualify you as a dental hygienist, and that's honorable work.

If your heart is set on dentistry, then I'd recommend taking a couple of years off, finding a health-care related job, and then going back to college to major in pre-med--and WORK HARD to get your GPA for the pre-med program up to snuff.

I had a friend who screwed off during his first BA degree (he played college football for that one). After living in Hawaii making souvenirs for tourists for a couple of years, he got a job taking xrays in a hospital and went back for pre-med. In his med school application, he took pains to emphasize that his GPA from his first school was low due to his lack of direction and the demands of college football, and his GPA was a better indication of his potential now that he had a clear goal. He's had a good career, now, as a Urologist in Florida.
