My GPA isn't the absolute greatest and neither is my credit score, but I have generally begun getting my life together as far as paying old credit card bills and studying harder. Is the only answer for funding my dreams a loan or are there a bunch of scholarships for aspiring dental school students? Any help would be appreciated! :)

go to fastweb.com, they show you tons of scholarships you can get. I don't know where you live, but here in Texas, there is a Be On Time loan that will pay for your college, and if you finish in the time you are suppose to and with a certain GPA then you don't have to pay them back. It is an awesome loan and maybe they have it in other states too (but I don't really know). Good Luck!
