Despite what the others think, what you've heard is right.

I don't know what other dental schools are in New York, but NYU is on the easier side to get in. While the other NYU programs are all top ranked, for some strange reason, the dental one isn't.

I had a friend with a pretty horrible GPA (albeit from a prestigious undergrad). His DAT wasn't too hot either from what I understand, but not horrible like his GPA. He knew he'd be rejected by most schools, so, he started looking at the low ranked dental schools. Made it to NYU. He spent a year bulking up his extra currics. That and/or his essay must have swung it for him.
Reply:no professional school is easy to get into. at a good school like NYU, it's probably harder than other dental schools.
Reply:Considering that it's NYU, I'd say that the dental school should be pretty competitive.

I can only think of three other dental schools in New York... the one at State University of New York at Buffalo, the one at Columbia, and the one at State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Reply:hahaha not for a dumb person like you

sorry but it's true. why da heck would you wanna be a dentist? they're doctor-wannabes.
Reply:NYU is a top 25 school across the board. It is one of the most competitive schools in the nation.

Check out petersons.com or review.com for entrance requirements, or just check out the NYU web site.
